What GetPiol is

A tool to keep a rent receipt book and an account book on your phone. It replaces the paper receipt book; it does not replace your judgement, your accountant, or the law.

What GetPiol is not

• Not a payment service. GetPiol does not collect, transfer or hold any money. A receipt issued with GetPiol states that you declare having received a payment; it carries your signature, like a paper receipt.
• Not a tool of pressure. GetPiol cuts nothing off, reports nobody, rates no tenant. It helps both sides remember and prove.
• Not legal advice. The rules on tenancy, security deposits and notice are those of the law and of your contract; GetPiol records what you decide.

What you agree to

• You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and of the receipts you issue.
• You keep your backups: until an online backup is available, your phone is the only copy of your data.
• You do not use GetPiol to produce false receipts or to deceive anyone; every receipt carries a unique code that will allow it to be verified.

What we agree to

• Provide the app free of charge to record, collect rent, issue receipts and view your accounts, with no limit on the number of tenants.
• Tell you in the app before any change to the way your data is handled.
• Never place advertising in the app.

Liability

GetPiol is provided as is. We do everything so that it never loses a single entry — that is its reason to exist — but we cannot be held liable for data loss resulting from a lost, broken or reset phone without a backup, or from use contrary to these terms.
